Hey everyone! My name is Brian Perez Cortez, and I am super excited to be the head coach for LSU! My ultimate frisbee career started back at Spring Lake Park High School, where I played for four years and was a captain my junior and senior years (fun fact: current Minnesota Wind Chill captain Brandon Matis actually started the program at SLP!). After high school, I attended and graduated from Hamline University, where I actually started a team and played/coached for a year there.
Outside of ultimate, I currently work at Macalester College in the admissions office, and I live in Blaine with my fiancé, our daughter, and our cat. I have lived in MN my whole life and have loved being part of the ultimate community that we have here! I’m really excited to work with all the players and families this season, and I can’t wait to see what this season brings for us!
